James Hill, CFP®

James joined Boardwalk Financial Strategies as an intern in May 2021 and came on full-time in September 2021. He believes in the power of aligning financial resources with a client’s values to create a sense of peace in their financial lives and change their families & communities for the better.

Now, as an Associate Wealth Manager, James assists clients in making financial decisions,  supports lead advisors in meeting prep and follow-up, and performs a myriad of back-office tasks to facilitate a great client experience and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Before joining Boardwalk, James worked for Goodwill Industries of SE Wisconsin as an eCommerce coordinator, facilitating the sale and shipping of donated musical instruments & audio equipment.

James grew up in Prospect Heights, IL, where his dad cultivated an interest in investing. James graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI, graduating Cum Laude in 2017 with Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Religion. While at Carthage he competed on the Swim & Dive team and participated in numerous student organizations and musical groups.

James greatly values his time with family and friends. While not at work, James enjoys a wide variety of interests, including music, reading, sports, Star Wars, and playing with his daughter. He plays the drums in his church worship band and multiple other instruments in his free time. James, his wife Emma, and their daughter Addie reside in Mount Pleasant with their cat Winnie.
